I have a 1985 evinrude 115 that the rectifier has stopped working on. I have been shopping around for a new one and from what I have found it is calling for part number CDI 193-5204 which is a 35 amp rectifier. My question is would it be possible to use a CDI 193-4204 which is the same form factor only it is 10 amps. There is about $150 difference in the two is why I am asking. Oh, and they are both water cooled. Thank you for your help!

Re: Evinrude rectifier

If you have power trim and tilt, it will need the 35 amp regulator.
