Evinrude Outboard Help

Hi everyone.
I have an Evinrude 25HP 1985 outboard and having trouble trying to re-assemble the tilt mechanism. I have new parts and have tried every way imaginable to complete the assemble with no luck.
I am hoping someone out there either has a motor like this, or access to one, who can take a couple good closeup pictures of how the assembly is arranged on their motor.
If I can get those pictures, maybe I can complete the job. Please see the attached picture of my motor showing the area of concern.

I think we have been over this a few times now! lol I think you will find you will get better results on this forum if you continue with the original thread, that way ppl can read the advice of others and add to it. Did you get the new spring?

Dont forget as you fit that spring it will have to be "wound up" I would guess by about ? of a turn. Heavens knows how you will hold it in that position while you fit it though

If you assemble the parts in the sequence shown in the parts diagram with the spring orientated as in the diagram you should be able to find something for the ends to bear against or hook around when it is in its wound up state.

Sure is difficult answering a qustion spread over 3 different threads.
