Evinrude mysterious oil leak

I have a 98 Evinrude 115. Earlier this year I had one cylinder bored out due to damage. Since then I have a oil leak that shows up on the R/H side of the engine, and will slowly run down the lower unit. I've cleaned it off, ran it, and could not find the leak. After a day of fishing, the R/H side of the engine has a film of oil. Park the boat overnight, and it will run most of the way down the lower unit. The boat runs great and the plugs look good. I had it in the shop and they changed the upper crank seal, and that obviously wasn't it. I'm afraid I shouldn't take this out again until I find this leak.

Any suggestions? By the way, it is VRO.

Re: Evinrude mysterious oil leak

Chances are that it is the powerhead to midsection gasket that is leaking. Is it a black/brown oil that drips from under the motor pan? If so, that's it.
