Evinrude Lark 6, that is all I know?

Hi,<br />I just bought a 13 foot bo-craft. It had an Evinrude Lark Vl on it. I don't know the hp or year. The model number is- 40472 R<br />The serial number is - E01864 <br />I would appreciate any help I could get. Is this a good engine?<br />Thanks

Hi Smalltandog<br />You have a 1964 40hp evinrude. They were great motors when built and many still are.

How much did you pay for the rig? I'm looking for one similar and would like to know how much it will drain my wallet.

I paid $300 for the boat motor and trailer. I found out that the Evinrude is an electronic shift, and the boat has a manual shifter on it. How does anyone suggest I begin to deal with this problem?
