Hi Guys<br /><br />While scan Ebay for my power pack I came across this tester. The decription states it test ingiitions fro the 70's. Would this be a pratical thing to have?
That is an old neon lite tester that was obsoleted years ago. It works for some tests on the late '60s battery CDI and the MagFlash systems used until '76 by Johnson and Evinrude.<br /><br />For less than $50 you can get a DVA adapter for a digital meter and can test any of the outboard brands and ignition systems from '66 to 2002. It was listed in Bass and Walleye Boats magazine some months ago.
