Evinrude Fastwin Question

I am restoring a 1956 Evinrude Fastwin. I have dismantled it for cleaning and painting. When putting it back together should the plastic "washers" between the transom clamp brackets and the swivel bracket be greased or installed dry? I can't seem to find anything about this in the service manual. Thanks!

That is a moving part when lifting the motor. I grease them to prevent wear and sticking.

Grease, especially if you're running it in salt water.
