Evinrude E25TECSSA water pump

I took the Lower unit off to replace the impeller, but it was not bad. When i start the motor back up i get water for a few minutes then it stops...<br /><br />Any ideas?

Murray...when you say "not bad", does that mean the impeller "fins" pop out straight or did they stay bent as in the shape of the impeller cup?<br /><br />Does the engine overheat? If you are looking at the tell tale peeing water then stops, did you try to run a wire up into the hole to see if it was clogging up? Sometimes you need to take the nipple out and let the hose run full to clear it.
