Evinrude Distributor Cap

Does anyone know where I can find a distributor cap for a 1971 Evinrude 85 hp motor. I was told that these are not made anymore. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Your best bet is Shoal Marine at 941-639-3012. Talk to Stan. 383522 is the number. Do yourself a favor and get new wires, rotor and anti-reverse spring too. Don't forget to coat the wires where they screw in the cap with dielectric grease.<br /><br />Good luck!

Hey Dhadley, I just need to find out if that part number you gave me was the right one because I found the one you gave me (#383522)on the internet (NOS part). It is a 1971 or 1972 Evinrude 85 hp V4 with the electric shift. I'm not sure of the model/serial because it is at the shop. Thanks so much for the help.

I'm pretty sure the motor I have is the 1971 model. I just wanted to make sure that the part number you gave me for the distributor cap was correct since I had found one (383522) on the internet. Thanks
