on my Evinrude Buccaner is there #s on the motor you told me that it is a 1954 7.5 but the cover says 5 is there any way to find out which is right thanks
Ahoy, Travis. <br /><br />I would believe the tag on the engine. Considering it's age, there is a good chance that the cover is a replacement. <br /><br />In those days the Johnson, Evinrude, Buccaneer and Gale all had a lot of interchangeable parts.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB
