What is the oil/gas mix for this motor. I tried starting it tonight, and it started fairly well, but there was A LOT of smoke...too much oil? Also, how much does the prop have to be covered when I start it in a bucket of water. The motor is water-cooled? Finally, will a mix of too much oil or too little oil damage the motor ???<br /><br />Thanks for helping out a novice.

Hi Tommy<br />The proper mix is 24:1. Too little oil will burn up your motor. Too much oil can cause excess carbon build up and poor performance. Your engine should smoke a bit. If it is clouding up the whole neighborhood, try turning the high speed knob to lean a little. I would have at least enough water to cover the prop 6".
