Evinrude 93 9.9 cooling

Just a quick question. Is a 93 Evinrude 9.9 only supposed to have water flow out the pee hose or should it also have some out the prop exhaust and the port on the back of the motor? This is while running w/ ears to a hose.

So used to inboards and have been out of the loop for 13 years away from the marina and my specialty was I/O's not O/B's.

Once the exhaust housing fills with water, there will be some of it coming out the holes above the cavitation plate, and once the thermostat opens there will be warm water coming out. The through hub exhaust typically has very little water coming out.

Thanks Jmen. Like I said its been a awhile. Thermostat duh. didn't run it long enough to heat it up to open.
