I lost the locking handle that holds the cover down on my 1984 Evinrude 9.9HP kicker. Any<br />ideas where I can find one? My local marine mechanics have been unable to locate one for me.<br />I have also checked ebay to no avail.
I suspect your mechanic did not check the superceeded parts listing. The latch is the same for 1974 thru 1992, it however may use a different part number for the 92. The late ones are made of nylon as compared to the cast aluminum older ones. I just got one for my 92.
