Evinrude 9.5 TwinStar

Got a 1970 Evinrude 9.5 TwinStar 9022C ('new' for me) a couple days ago, deal of the century.

I cleaned out the fuel filter and carb yesterday and it still hesitates @ WOT.
Kinda like it's missing a cylinder, but idel's fine -- runs rough.

Also, I'd like to know the gap set on the J4C's

did you remove and clean the high speed jet, in the lower part of the carb? the 1st set of instructions here for carb adjustments:

The J4C's are set at 0.030". Did you test the compression for a baseline?

Negitive there as well, I know I need to get into it deeper but time was an issue yesterday.

R / R old plugs w/ new plugs, didn't seem to help.
Guess cleaning that jet's the next step ...
