Evinrude 8hp fuel pump

Where I find a exploded diagram of the fuel<br />pump in a 1987 Evinrude 8hp outboard motor.<br />Can fuel pumps be rebuilt or do you have to<br />buy a new replacement? Thanks

Hey, Skyyguy. Overhauling the fuel pump is a fairly simple task that you should be familiar with. Careful observation while you dismantle it should be enough to put it back together correctly. The kit is not very expensive. It would be a good idea to buy 2. As long as you have a spare kit handy the pump will naver fail you again.<br /><br />Happy boating.<br />JB
