had the boat in the water for the first time since fitting a new powerpack. At the same time I changed the battery cables ae they seemed a bit lightweight for the distance they were running.

The enginge runs better than it ever has.

Is this the powerpack or has the cable mad any difference ?

Powerpacks do go wrong, some pack in competely, some are intermittent, when this happens chances are that one cylinder is losing its spark, and losing power.say you run a 85 h.p v4 omc they do run on 3 cylinders, sounds like you made the right choice changing the powerpack but not sure about trying the boat out in this weather.catch you later, steve
