Evinrude 7.5 fuel pump?

I have a 1982 evinrude 7.5. Been working on this motor. Bought it for 75$.. replaced powerhead for 80$, water intake screen for 70$ now the fuel pump cap is broke(hairline crack) was gonna buy a new one.. It’s 110$? Why so much for fuel pump for this motor? How much is this motor worth? Thx

The wee cap is available and at less than $10 and a repair kit for this pump is available.---Why rush out to buy a complete pump ?

I’m going to replace cap first,, just was pricing fuel pump as a just in case.. did see some from China for 20$.

Thx racerone,,for whatever reason I overlooked the repair kit. Gonna order cap now...
