Hey fellas, I am a newbie here. Just doing a little research and stumbled across this great site. I have a Evinrude 65 Model # 65373R and Serial # J08442. I pulled the boat out of the water on Friday and wasn't able to lift and lock the motor in the up position as I usually do before pulling the boat out of the water. After a few minutes of trying to get it to lock in place I decided to ease the boat up nice and slow. Fortunately it didn't scrape the ramp on the way out. Upon inspecting it once out of the water it appears the pin on the lever that locks the motor in the upright position has sheared off. I have been wanting to add power tilt/trim to the boat for a while so it appears I will be attempting that task shortly. Now my question: Is there a power tilt/trim unit off of other Evinrude or Johnson models that I can purchase and mount on this motor? I have seen the CMC jacks but would much rather add power tilt/trim from a similar year Evinrude or Johnson. Pretty sure I can't use a CMC jack even if I wanted to due to my steering cable being at its maximum distance already. Thank you in advance for any help! It is much appreciated!
