You likely need to disconnect the shift rod. They disconnect differently depending on the year of the motor. What year is it?

now, took out the L U and find out the shift rod slightly bent and the gear stuck at the neutral, can't push or pull by hands. can anybody tell me how to take the gear case apart or loosen the nuts after I removed prop. I am stuck, can't go further to inspect the shift fork. thank you in advance.
