Evinrude 4hp prop shear pin

1974 direct drive model with 3 blade plastic prop
The shear pin is only 12 mm long
It fits ok in prop and turns ok but it only protrudes around 1 mm either side of shaft
I ordered 2 pins from the correct part number for my engine and those are too long
Is my prop standard

If too long, could be filled down to proper lenght, as long diam is as required not an issue.

Small portables have some prop sizes to play with, probably was fitted with a prop that's not the one factory delivered. Probably a different prop to maximize other boating application ?
