Another what year guestion...Mod #. E48ESLCR.....evinrude.. Just bought a pontoon with it on it. Any remarks about that motor and I would like to know the year to buy parts if needed. Thanks .....Bsandy....

C = 8, R = 4 therefore 1984

My manual doesn't show a 48hp until 1988

That's a point. Although listed from '87

If the C is wrong then it must be ER for 1994

If the R is wrong then CU= 87, CC=88, CE =89

If I had a manual I wouldn't be asking

but once we have got the year sorted for you you'll be able to get one

1984 is right. I just called one of my favorite marine suppliers. Oddly enough, Seloc doesn't show one until 1988. So Vic.S is right.

Its right for the model number but I cant find it listed any where hence the note above

It is hard to read with these old 81 year old eyes. I think it is
E48ESLCER. I have sent for a manual but not sure of the year

Ah now you have slipped an extra letter in there. CE makes it a 1989 model ! Thats listed Ok
