Please Help!!!<br />Motor runs fine most of the time, but on occasion it sputters and only idles well, try to give it gas and it seems to run on one cyclinder. Shut off the motor and crank and then it runs fine. Sometime while running at speed it just dies and only idles, then shut down and crank and it runs fine????

Hi, Bill. Welcome to the board.<br /><br />There are several possible causes of your trouble.<br /><br />Most likely: crud floating around in a carb, water in your fuel, crud floating around in your fuel tank.<br /><br />Less likely, but possible: Intermittent ignition failure on one cylinder, intermittent fuel pump failure.<br /><br />Check those out and let us know what you've found.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB
