In a brief search I couldn't find that number.Could be late 70s? The twin cylinder Evinrude/Johnson is a proven design dating back to the early 50s most parts should be readily available.Sure wouldn't hurt to let us know what you know about the motor.

I'm a 80s 25-35hp motor fan. Looking at the skeg, it may have been handled a little rough. How does it run?

I believe you mistyped or was giving the wrong model number I think you are looking at a 35952A which is a 1979 35. This are very reliable outboards. The one in the photo looks like it has had a rough life but how does it look under the cowl. I would check the compression and see if it runs before buying. As far as working on them there isn't much difference between the 35 and a 15/9.9. If you are comfortable working on those you will have no issues working on the 35.
