Re: Evinrude 2hp

Hi, were you able to determine the gas/oil mixture? I recently acquired the same model outboard and don't have that info. Also, I am having a heating problem.

The motor runs well when under moderate power but will overheat and quit when pushed to wide open throttle for more then a minute or two. I have changed the impeller, put in a new piston and rings and a new head gasket, all last season. Of course I have tried to clean out all passsages tooAny ideas/suggestions?

thanks

Re: Evinrude 2hp

I was told by many people that the mixture is 50:1. Can't help with the overheating, though.
