Evinrude 20hp ID

Just picked up a really sweet running 20, which the previous owner says is from 1991. There is no numbers on whats left of the id tag on the engine mount, however there is a metal plate attatched to the bottom of the carb with the following inscription....

396167 X
MX
07 C L

Its a longshaft and has a plug for battery charging and manual start. The only other number i found on the flywheel is 391088 D1, if that helps?
Its running great and pumps water strongly, but i like to keep service items in stock so that they are on hand should i need them. Thanks in advance for any help.

Look for a core plug on the block about the size of a quarter as it may have some numbers on it.

Thanks chaps. Seriel number BE20 BFL CDC on the core plug. Seems odd to me to put the number on a service item, having changed a few core plugs on other machinery. The BFL code seems to agree with the 1991 build date. Im sure any parts dealer would be able to use this number for part id. Thanks for the help.

That core plug is blind.. nothing behind it. It's just for ID.

The "CD" code says 1986.

Yea I was just looking online and got a 1986 or could also be a 1988
