I'm fairly new to the outboard world. I've been running this motor for about a year now. It seems like I regularily have an oil film around the entire engine, under the cowl. I can't seems to find anything leaking, but over time it will start to run down the lower unit on the aft side. Is this normal operation. I do clean it off on a regular basis, but it seems to come back, and is especially oily around the carbs. It runs fine, and the plugs look great. If nothing else, the oil is protecting the outside of the engine from corrosion, but I'm concerned about a leak.
