evinrude 115 fitch

i have a 2001 evinrude 150 fitch that will start when crankint the motor but dies as soon as u let the key go.i tried disconnecting the kill wire in the back but didnt help.i have no local people that can look at it for 2 weeks.any ideas.thanks

You first have to determine if it is a fuel problem or an ignition problem, then troubleshoot from there.

With the amount of information you provided and not having any test equipment results, that's about all we can help you with.

i only know that the nfuel pump is running when i release the key.dont have a flow check yet.
