I have found another addition to my checklist in preventive maintainence to my motor thanx to this web site. I was told about something called Sea Foam. This stuff is more like a tune up in a can.
I took out my spark plugs and sprayed a good bit in each cylinder, let set over night, and started motor next morning. Man, that stuff blew out all kinds of junk out the exaust. I then sprayed some in my carbs while motor was running and let it clean my system out. I had then took her out on the lake and she started without choke. I couldnt believe it. Then she came out of the water like there was no tommorrow. This is some good stuff.
I also used it on my weedeater and even she starts easier, and runs smoother. It did take a few pulls until she would fire up, now all it takes is one.
I dont know what this stuff is, but I highly recomend it for all motors. I was told to use 1/2 can every 3 tanks of fuel.
Does anyone have any better advise on how to use this stuff, or any advise on other products to use on these motors? What about a good additive in the lower unit lubricant?
