Pray if you want or just take a minute out of your busy
life and send good thoughts out to the families of the West Virginia
coal miners.:(

Agreed.

I cannot imagine many things being more horrific than being trapped under ground.

Coal miner update

Coal miner update

Well they finally sent a rescue crew in this morning got within
1000 ft and had to abort.:(

What a terrible thing for the families and friends.

The rest know they have to bury their loved ones but
those of the four still in there just wait.

When you flip that switch or plug in that cord remember
these incredibly brave men.

Anyone following this?

By 6PM ET they hope to have it vented enough
to go back in. They left their equipment in there
to save time when they go back.

The families must be about nuts by now.

Re: Everyone please take a moment(UPDATE)

Folks I would like to say a personal thank you for you're prayers and thoughts. One of our Paramedics Father is still in the mine, he is confirmed dead but he along with the other miners are being left in there during the rescue and investigation.

I have heard this morning that they are punching another hole to drop a camera thru, the reason for this is to see if the rescue chamber has been deployed or not.

I have said from day one that should have been done.

Thanks again Jeff

Re: Everyone please take a moment(UPDATE)

Coming from a family with a history of coal mining who fortunately went underground everyday and came home safe, this is close to home.

Unfortunately, not everyone from where I come from can say that. The mines have become a grave to way too many a great men.

Coal mining is poor pay, tough working conditions, and is filled with a unique breed of people who couldn't imagine doing anything but coal mining.

Thoughts and prayers with the families and the miners.
