every time I turn on nav gauge lights, gauges ping out?

I rarely use my nav lights as I go out daytime. I noticed though while cleaning the boat when I turn on the nav switch the gauges all ping out to the right. I turn it off and they go back to normal. I took off the panel thinking there was a crossed wire but everything looks good behind there. I am at a loss on where to go next to resolve this. For what it is worth I did notice my trim gauge doesn't work lately. Not sure if that matters or not. I love this site and appreciate anyones help. This forum has already saved me time and money on numerous issues.

Start here to ensure everything is hooked up correctly. Make sure none of the ring terminals on the back of the gauges are touching each other and bridging the gauge terminals.
