evenrude decals on seaking 22?

I just got info on my 1955 seaking 22hp mod#gg9020a and was wondering if it is made by evenrude or ifg someone put a difrent cover on the motor thnks.

Hi JT<br />That is a good question. With out seeing your motor how are we to know? It may be someone swaped bonnets, swaped decals or maybe even swaped the transom clamps. If the transom clamps were swaped we my never know the year/model of your motor. Look for a round disc about the size if a quarter on the engine block, usually around the cylinder area. See if the numbers on it match the numbers on transom clamp. If not post them here as a reply and we will see what we can do with them.

Alcan is right. I would add that Seakings are cousins to all Rudes and Johnsons. They're all OMC products...up until the 60's when Gale went under. Gale was OMC's generic mfg. division. It made Seakings into the 60's. lots of parts, including some cowls/covers were interchangeable.
