Yes ted i have a 1955 rude and after a couple fixes and tweaks it went from a putter around motor to a motor to a motor that can plane out a 14ft lund and pass a 1987 merc! But what i use for a mix is extra range 2 cycle citgo oil(or any other brand you choose) 50-1 2 pints to every 6 gallons of gas ive been running like that for 3 years (ever since i bought the motor)and you can add either gunk or gumout just a little in every tank it works well some things to watch out for <br />1.water pump impeller=overheating<br />2.water in the gas (due to old gas tanks)= motor slowly slows to a stop<br />3.coils and transistors=missing <br />I know that was more than what you wanted to know but you might incounter some of these problems in the future. <br />p.s. i have fixed all of the problems mentioned+more if you have any more questions post them ill check back. <br /><br /><br />------------------<br />Jess
