I've got a 1961 Blue Jet, a 1972 Craftsman (Eska), and an 80's model Eska 7.5

On these motors, the Blue Jet has a tube that protrudes from the lower leg in front of the prop. The Craftsman doesn't have one, though I'm not sure if it is supposed to and maybe been removed in the past?

The 7.5 doesn't have a tube, and I don't think it's supposed to have one of those tubes.

Here's my question... When I look at the exploded views of Eska motors, they never show this tube! Also, I haven't had the lower leg apart on any of them.

Where does this tube connect inside the leg? Is the Craftsman suppposed to have one?

Also, it's my understanding that neither of the small motors have impellars. Is this correct? Water spray DOES blow out of the little holes, and both of the motors are pretty old.

Re: Eska.

All three motors use a Tecumseh air cooled power head,66/67 5hp is Clinton, with a water cooled leg.Your 61-67 uses a tube to pick up water from prop thrust no pump.
On all three of your motors water goes to a deverter at the top of the leg and simply falls back down.3,4,6 and 7hp have a water tube up the leg but no pump.5 hp has pump
My after market manuals indicate a water tube with a nut and washer setup at the top.
