The wire connectors got hot and melted the shielding together after and before the rectifier and I lost charge. I replaced the voltage regulator and soldered the connections rather than use the stock connectors as I was told there have been fires with those connectors.
At idle and slightly above the voltage jumps from around 13.5 to almost 17. My question is if this is normal and if not are you thinking stator? Is there a way to check the stator without unsoldering a couple wires?
