Engine Weight?

Does anyone know what the weight difference is between a 1979 55hp Chrysler (559H9LMT) and a 1970 85hp Chrysler (857HA)?<br /><br />Thanks in advance!

about 80 pounds.<br /><br />Can't find a weight on a 1970 85hp, but the 1980 is about 270#

thanks roscoe... man that third cylinder and all the hardware must be pretty heavy!

Yeah. For example, a Merc 40-50-60-and 70 hp all weigh in at aprox 200#. They are all based on the same block.<br /><br />The next block is common to the 90-115-120-125, etc, and weighs much more.
