I have a 1989 140 hp Mercruiser with the Alpha one stern drive. I took it out on the lake after fixing the carb (thanks for the help) and when I started out we seemed to be going along fine at a couple of knots, but when I gave it some gas the engine rev'ed but we didn't make it on plane. I marked the hub but didn't see that slip. What else could be going on? Oh, also I didn't see the engine temp rise or anything. I'm assuming that it is something in the lower unit. Any thoughts would be appreciated.<br /><br />papagene
