Engine Temp too high or ok ?

I have a '88 wellcraft with a 4 stoke ford engine, omc cobra i/o. Its running around 185-190 degrees. Is this too high? I have been getting mixed responses from mechanics because I thought 160 was the normal operating temp.

160 is about right. Change that impeller and housing we talked about in your other post.

May be a good time to replace thermostat too..

With raw water cooling, 160 is right, it may go a little higher, like maybe 175 but 190 is too hot. The Cobra impeller is easy to change.
