Hello. My engine (350 mag mpi 2009) has both engine temp sensor (805218T) and engine temp sender (806490T).Can you please tell me which part gives the ecu the engine temp and which to the smartcraft gauge? My engine is running rich and probably the ecu had incorrect information about the engine temp, so I want to change the correct part. But is this the sensor or the sender? Thank you very much.

It's easier to tell the difference by the wire colour. The sensor for the ecu should have a yellow wire and a blk/pink wire. The analog gauge sensor will have a single tan wire to it.

Well, the sender has only a blk wire and the sensor has a plug with three wires just like the water pressure sensor placed to the steering cooler. So I guess that the ecu receives signal for the temperature(and the correct enrichment) from the three-wired sensor. Thank you very much.
