Hi Im trying very hard to get some info on what I will need to do this engine swap, I have a very nice kawasaki 900 zxi hull (with a completely blown motor), and I have a 93 kawasaki ss xi 750 that has a strong engine, and a completely cracked hull. So I would like to put the 750 into the 900 hull. I know that kawasaki used the same hulls for the 1100, 900, and 750 zxis, so I know it is possible. However I have no idea about the engine mounting, and linkage. I dont care to keep the oil injection system so I need no advice with that, but I do really need to know the different link coming out of the 750 zxi motor and the 750 ss xi, I know they are the same motor but the zxi's transmission definitely links different. Are the mounting plates diff. from the zxi 750 engines, and the 750 xi engine? Can I use any of the linkage from the 900 to connect the new engine. Thank you for your time

the 900 and 1100 hulls are the same and use the same motor mount spacing

I don't know that the 750 uses the same motor mount spacing as the 900/1100 since it is a 2cyl engine.

if the mounts are the same distance apart then presumably you'd most likely need a set of "bed plates" for a 750 zxi to mount your 750 motor in that hull. I doubt that the bed plates from the SSxi would swap over. You can review different parts catalogs and compare part numbers to be sure.

the other thing you might need is a "midshaft assembly" for a 750 ZXi instead of the one that is in there now for the 900 ZXi.
