engine runs, then slowly cuts out.

this is my very first time here. thank you. i have a 2005 mercruiser 5.0 mpi 260hp engine. boat runs fine for awhile then eventually it will beep, cut out, and quit. and when i leave the key on and open the hatch,i move the wire loom around on the manifold and the relay will click and the pump will kick on, then it will start. i have messed with it every weekend for a month and it does the same thing every time. any suggestions? i think im geting closer to the problem, just cant seem to pinpoint it.

Welcome aboard, sound's like an electrical connection problem, check your wiring connections to your fuel pump back to the power supply or look out for any broken wire, good luck

Try pulling the harness plug apart and shooting it with some contact cleaner and re plugging it. Sounds like a bad connection or broken wire inside the insulation.
