OK, toward the middle of last season, when running on full load (WOT, tubing, etc) my temp would shoot up in excess of 210, but while going at a no wake speed it would stay around 150.

So, I had the impeller replaced in late summer. Boat ran at 150 at no wake speed and dipped below 120 under load. So, before winterizing, I had the thermostats replaced.

Same problem this year. Just had my first outing and at no wake speed = 150 . . .pulling tubers, WOT, etc . .the temp goes below 120.

Any thoughts?

Its a 1996 Johnson 115HP OB

Thanks!

what are the poppets, and where are they???

as for the ops motor, that soundsfine...you are getting lots of cool water running through your motor and it is doing its job....
