Looking for help from someone knowlegable in engine repair. 1973 sea ray w/e, omc 225. Unfortunately, as a new boated no one informed me to put it in reverse and wash off the weeds from the prop, so after struggling at high rpm's it all finally broke loose and over rev'd. So now it sounds like a deisel . What may I have done to the engine. I suppose the piston rod is bent or broke. Any suggestions on a source for a new engine would be of help also. Contacted sea ray and they said the boat is designed to accept any horsepower available. Have looked into proformance and others but I am a newbie so I am looking for opinions and advice. I like it out on the water
