engine overheating 4.3 mercrusier v-6

we were at the lake over the weekend I put the boat in the water I noticed my temp went way up always run around 140 but this time went all the way over put it back on the trailer brought it home hook up the dog ears and hose and noticed it was not sucking water in would do I need to put a new impellar in the lower unit is this a very simple thing to do if that is what it is.

The Impeller is Always the 1st place to start when an Overheat is encountered........
And,........
I consider it an Extremely Easy repair,........
Whether You do,..... Is for You to decide.......
