engine oil

I have a 1999 marine power jet pack 350 v8 that the oil specs are sae30 below 70 and sae40 above 70. I use my boat year round and was wondering if there is a grade I could use all the time. In the winter months my low temps are in the teen's and 20's and highs 30's and 40's. In the summer I usually top out in the 80's-90's.

How about Merc's 25W-40 or if you put plenty of hours on it just change when the seasons change. I use straight 40 but I don't go boating if I need a jacket
