I was involved in a wreck this past weekend and my jet ski went under the water for maybe 15 seconds until I got the other guys ski off of mine and it seemed to have lost some power on the way back. I was stopped and somebody else ran into me so the engine was not running but I wonder what water damage could happen to my engine if it was just submerged for 10 to 15 seconds. There was some water in the engine compartment but I drained it all out and it still runs funny. I guess maybe a plug wire or spark plug getting wet and fouling out?? I have no idea really but it seems to have lost some power none the less.

You should pull the plugs and look at them, this will tell you if the ignition got wet or if water went in a carb,, also do a compression check and make sure there is no loss of compression, spray all your electrical wiring with silicon spray and be sure you don't have water in any sealed electrical boxes, open them and inspect . no idea what ski you have and they are all set up differently.
