engine loss of power/rpm

My 1994 Boston Whaler jet boat is powered by an OMC 115hp. It is basically an outboard powerhead placed in an inboard configuration. Last two outings the motor lost power after appx. 20 to 25 minutes with runs at idle to W.O.T. The rpms decreased from 5000 to 4200. My thoughts are that this is electrical, but I noticed a small fuel leak at the bottom line attachement to the lower carb. Engine idles at 950 in the water and 1100 on the hose. This seems fine. It is after that 20 or so minutes that it cuts out on seemingly a cylinder. Any advice or what to check would be appreciated. I have determined that the plug wire on the top starboard cylinder was bad, but could there be anything else.

Re: engine loss of power/rpm

I just recently had a similar problem with my 1994 115 Yamaha - loss of power. Turned out to be a bad coil. Did you check your coils for spark?

Re: engine loss of power/rpm

I will do that today after replacing the plug wire. Thanks for the suggestion.
