Engine Install

I am installing a 305 into my newly built boat, any thoughts on what to look out for? It is an I/O and the engine is a 2000 mercruiser w/ alpha 1 outdrive. What about engine drive alignment? Do I have to get one of those $100 tools? Thanks!

Way to big of a project for you.<br />you would be much better off just bringing that setup over to my house... I'll drop it in my boat for ya

i have an alignment tool that i used once o do an engine replacment that i will sell to you for 60.00 plus 15.00 for shipping it worked on a alpha 1 plus i can help you with tips ou need to build a a frame engine hoist and purcahse a hoist 1st
