Engine Identity

Have a large twin turbo engine however I cannot identify who it is made by. Where are the markings on the engine? Its an I/O. <br /><br /> Thanks

What kind of boat? How many cylinders what colour is the block what I/O on the back. Carb or injected engine how old.

Its a 24 foot Fiberform. It is a gas engine, and the markings on the outdrive is a "V". It looks like an 8 cylinder engine.

I think you might need outside help with this one have your local marine guy to idend. what you have sounds like you might need guidance on this one.

Picture will be here soon. Just have to get the camera working right... <br /><br />Couple of more pieces of info. The engine is a 351. I did see the name Edelbrock on the manifold. It has dual flame arrestors. Looking around is it Ford that made a 351? Like I said the outdrive has a big V on the face of it, so I assume it is Volvo. Previous owner is in Syria for another month so I can get no info from him. I will take it to the marine mechanic in town here, however I am on a 2 and a half week waiting list. Any help is always appreciated.

Could be Cleveland or Windsor block, ident. by how wide valve covers are. If this is a hopped up engine and sounds like it could be Cleveland engine.
