Engine ID

I was looking at my engine tonight to see if I have roller lifters or not. The manual says the engine code is CD for engines with roller lifters. I am just curious at the moment.

However, while looking for this engine code, which I did not find, I noticed a sticker on one of the valve covers with the name Dearler Marine. Looks like this engine had a long block replacement?

Anyway, has anyone heard of this company?

Any other way to determine which block I have?

Here are the Mercruiser engine codes.

http://www.boatfix.com/merc/Bullet/97/97_06.pdf

Didn't we discuss this with serial numbers on an early post about this boat? Even before you decided to buy it.
Check back in your old posts.

Re: Engine ID

Yes Don, we did discuss this before I bought the boat. I have the s/n on the cover but I just noticed the sticker on the valve cover so I want to make sure what I have.

The casting number on the back of the block is 14093638 so I know it's a 350 with a one pc rear main seal, but I don't know if it has roller lifters.

I can't find/see the Mercruiser code on page 1 location 'b' of the service bulletin you posted. If a code is not there, would this mean it may not be a Mercruiser block?
