So im trying to decide what I should do to my 1994 genV 454. I have everything pulled apart and have been taking some measurements. All crank journals measure within spec and should be good to go with a light polish. Cam seems good to go as well.

My question is what to do with the block. Since there was literally no ring groove on the top of the bore I hit everything with a hone and began taking measurements. Found a cylinder to be around .0013 out of round.

Sooooo my initial reaction is let it ride and run it but I wanted to see what those who are more experienced thought. I also am curious others thoughts regarding if this measurement would even be accurate. My understanding is you cant even start to measure unless you have the heads torqued down. I am using an inside mic not a bore gauge. So I really cant measure with the heads on.

Any thoughts.

there called "torque plates" but .0013 nothing to worry about. .013 would be a problem
