Engine Coupler

Have a 2005 Regal with a 5.0 Mercruiser with a Alpha 1 outdrive. My serial #s are wore off the tag on plastic cover. Cannot get to the serial plate to get pics of the stamped plate.

What engine coupler does this boat have? 12 3/4" triangle? Or is it the 14"

so look on the side of the block just above the starter where the mercruiser serial number tag is

Customers outdrive locked up and smoked the coupler.... I wasn't there but he said smoke came from engine compartment. So i installed a new outdrive because he wanted to see if coupler was bad.....Yep, wouldn't even pull boat back on trailer. So he is on vacation and called and wants to replace it but I have no way of knowing which one to get.

The serial # I have is faded but looks like # OW036376, or may be a 0w036376

stick your head on the starboard side of the motor, read the serial number off the stamped metal tag that is riveted to the side of the block just above the starter on the starter boss.

Part number for coupler is -18643A5 ....

Thanks Chris !! When I searched the serial # both ways it pulled up that # using OW036376... You know us newbies are SPOON fed...LOL Customer is out of town and I cant get to the boat but wanted the parts here.
